Seattle Rep Postpones 2020-21 Season

With no set date to return to the stage, Seattle Rep shifts its focus to its virtual programming.

Proceeds from the musical event, streamed from Florence, Italy, will go 13 theatres and institutions Felder has called home.

The lineup will include a remount of Manhattan Theatre Club’s ‘Jitney’ and world premieres by Anna Ziegler and Justin Huertas.

The funding will support commissions from emerging playwrights Joanna Garner, Lily Houghton, and C.A. Johnson.

The slate also includes Christina Ham’s Nina Simone musical, a play by Steven Dietz, a staging of Khaled Hosseini, and more.

The awards will fund extra time for the development of 27 new productions across the country.

The Public Theater spreads its community-based theatre model to Detroit, Dallas, and Seattle.

The season will include world premieres from Lauren Yee, David Grimm, and Erica Schmidt.
