An adaptation of the Washington Irving tale hit close to home for Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s Full Circle program.
For the first time on the show, the Friends leave New York City, and travel to the Fisher Center at Bard College and Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, with guests Erin Markey and Robyn Kerr. Conclusion: The Friends need to get out more.
The lineup features five productions, including the company’s first commission.
The theatre will present world premieres by Lauren Gunderson and Kate Hamill as part of the lineup.
The season at the New York theatre will include two Shakespeare plays and world premieres from Lauren Gunderson and Kate Hamill.
The company’s 30th season will contain a Shakespeare trio, plus a Public Works-style production of ‘Our Town.’
Eleven fellows will participate in the program, which encompasses four different areas of study.
‘Arabian Nights’ and ‘An Iliad’ will join ‘Midsummer’ and ‘Winter’s Tale’ in the open-air tent in Garrison, N.Y. next summer.
Staff changes and trasitions are taking place from the Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville to The Murphy Theatre in Wilmington.
