Portland Center Stage Announces 1st Season Under Artistic Director Marissa Wolf

The new artistic leader has put together a slate that includes 2 world premieres, a sequel to an Austen classic, and ‘In the Heights.’

The lineup will include the world premiere of ‘Austen’s Pride’ and the return of ‘Shrek.’

The Arkansas theatre has announced the inaugural slate of shows in its new 50,000-square-foot complex.

The Chicago theatre will program a Manual Cinema play about death and a new adaptation of ‘A Doll’s House.’

He will direct “Thoughts of a Colored Man” by Keenan Scott for the theatre’s 2019-20 season.

The theatre will produce Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon’s newest Jane Austen-inspired play, plus a new thriller by Steven Dietz.

The lineup includes three premieres and work by seven female playwrights.

The season will feature ‘Cambodian Rock Band’ and the world premiere of ‘F*ck7thGrade,’ with music by Jill Sobule.

For the first time in two decades, the company will present a production composed by Stephen Sondheim.

The anniversary season will include three world premieres, two plays by August Wilson, and Disney’s ‘Newsies.’
