Stages Repertory Theatre Announces 2019-20 Season

The theatre will split its programming between its current venue and new home.

New artistic director Jamil Jude’s first season will include three productions authored by or focusing on women.

The lineup includes new works, a holiday staple, and a Tony Award-winning musical comedy.

The theatre’s 19-20 season will feature some gender-bent casting and plays by Kate Hamill and Lauren Gunderson.

The lineup will include a family-friendly musical, a mature comedy, and ‘Fun Home.’

Also on next season’s slate: ‘As You Like It’ with Beatles songs and a production from Mexico’s Makuyeika Theatre Collective.

The lineup includes an all-female playwright roster, a holiday adaptation of Austen, and contemporary pieces highlighting social justice issues.

The lineup includes ‘Miss You Like Hell,’ ‘American Psycho,’ and 2 Clare Barron plays in rep.

The Georgia company will present contemporary plays, musicals, and its annual holiday revue.

The 2019-20 season, new artistic director Johanna Pfaelzer’s first, will also feature work by Jocelyn Bioh, Culture Clash, and Francis Turnly.
