The artistic director’s final season will include a new musical from Randy Johnson and Cheryl West.
The California theatre has announced four out of seven shows, which will include new plays by Lisa Loomer, Jeff Augustin, and British company Kneehigh.
The Boston theatre’s season will feature three plays and four musicals, one of which will be announced at a later date.
Next season, the classical theatre will conclude its four-year Shakespeare history cycle project with ‘Henry VI’ and ‘Richard III.’
The Seattle theatre will produce works by Lydia R. Diamond, Alice Childress, and Adrienne Kennedy.
The season will feature world premieres by Arlitia Jones and Jen Silverman, and adaptations of novels by John Irving and Charlotte Brontë.
A new Dr. Seuss adaptation and a new play by Naomi Iizuka are part of the theatre’s musical-heavy season.
The annual new-play festival will include works by Julia Jarcho, Eric Dufault, and Ethan Lipton, and a return of ‘Men on Boats.’
The new artistic director will helm two works in the theatre’s season.
Ayad Akhtar, Nick Payne, Larissa FastHorse, Lorraine Hansberry and more will be part of the lineup.
