Signature Theatre Announces World Premieres for 2016–17 Season

The season will feature the works of four D.C. writers.
It will include a reprise from Theatre Exile, ‘Hand to God,’ and a world premiere by Bill Cain.
The West Virginia theatre’s annual summer festival will include world premieres by Allison Gregory, Chisa Hutchinson, and Susan Miller.
Next season at the Atlanta theatre will include new musicals by Janece Shaffer and Matthew Sklar, and new plays by Lindsey Ferrentino and Jiréh Breon Holder.
The season will include Broadway productions, Fiasco Theater’s ‘Into the Woods,’ and the ‘Amelie’ musical.
The theatre will mount new plays by Marisela Treviño Orta, Mike Bartlett, David Javerbaum, and the world premiere of a new Sherlock Holmes play from Jeffrey Hatcher.
The Maryland theatre’s season will include shows by Sharr White, Bess Wohl, Jane Martin, and Richard Mailman and Ryan Haase.
The Rhode Island theatre will mount a Dave Malloy musical, plus works by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Deborah Salem-Smith.
Next season at the Chicago theatre will include new plays from Aaron Posner and Alexander Zeldin, a world premiere from Doug Hara, and the return of ‘Moby Dick.’
The season will feature new works by Steven Dietz, Kimber Lee, and Sarah Treem, among others.
