Soho Rep Announces New Plays for 2016-17 Season

The season will feature two world premieres and a studio workshop of a new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury.

The season will include a musical tribute to Johnny Cash, as well as a Sondheim classic.

The season will include world premiere plays from Kara Lee Corthron and Hit the Lights! Theater Co.

Brecht’s ‘Galileo’ and new plays from Matthew Paul Olmos, Anne Washburn, and Jackie Sibblies Drury comprise the lineup.

Theatre cofounder David Mamet will return, plus new works from George Brant and Itamar Moses.

Next season at the theatre for young audiences will span the jungles of India, the mysterious world of Wonderland, and the near future.

The theatre’s season will include Nick Payne’s “Constellations” and Stew and Heidi Rodewald’s “Notes of a Native Song.”

The season features 2 new plays from Richard Nelson, the NYC premiere of Lynn Nottage’s ‘Sweat,’ and another David Byrne/Alex Timbers musical.

The season is the first under new artistic director Will Davis and will feature world premieres from Dan Aibel and Basil Kreimendahl.

The season will take place in Old Louisville’s Central Park.
