The prestigious award comes with a $10,000 prize and commemorative trophy.
The administrators will work in a three-pronged model of shared leadership.
Slated for May, this year’s gathering will feature performances, speeches, training, networking, and more.
7 new playwrights will be in residence with the New York-based Asian American and Pacific Islander theatre company.
Focusing on the digital accessibility of performing arts, the project is being coordinated by researcher and dramaturg Magda Romanska.
The inaugural Incubator program members include 9 organizations and 2 artists.
The festival will present BCF @ CSUEB at the Cal State East Bay University Theater on Feb. 11 and New Voices/New Works at Dance Mission Theater on Feb. 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m.
The award comes with a $10,000 prize and an accompanying $10,000 Jay Harris Commission for a new play, to be read at the festival this summer.
