Michael G. Murphy to Step Down as Managing Director of the Old Globe
Murphy has accepted a position as president and CEO of Shea’s Performing Arts Center.

He will work alongside new artistic director Sarah Rasmussen to lead the Minneapolis theatre.
Sean Christopher Lewis will join the company as interim artistic director.
The longtime managing director is leaving to pursue new opportunities.
Dutton will bring her experience in investment management to the position.
The longtime artistic director will leave to head up NYU’s Skirball Center. His final season will contain world premieres from a number of experimental theatre companies.
The director will take over for Tim Dang at the Los Angeles-based Asian-American theatre.
New advisory board appointments were also announced, including Lucy Liu and Patti LuPone.
A playwright and teacher, Bradford succeeds Vincent J. Cardinal at the helm of both CRT and UConn’s Dramatic Arts.
The company veteran, who’s been with the theatre since it began in 2002, will leave to pursue other interests.
