Geva Names Elizabeth Williamson Its New Artistic Director

Williamson, whose background is in directing, producing, and dramaturgy, will be the first woman to lead the Rochester company.

Woods recently served as co-artistic director at Seattle’s Sound Theatre Company.

Adams was selected following a top-to-bottom reevaluation of the company.

Working alongside 3 artistic directors over 3 decades, she expanded the theatre’s new-works department and emphasized mentorship and education.

The multi-department management group includes longtime company member Brandon Carter serving as artistic director.

Liz Fisher, Jarrett King, and Carl Gonzales will join Nathan Jerkins as associate artistic directors at the Austin-based company.

Tommy Anderson and Tucker Leighty-Phillips join Becca Finney and Tiffany Turner to round out the company’s first full turnover at the top.

Jenkins will create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to advance TCG’s mission.

Fichter, who succeeds Chad Henderson, is said to bring “a 360-degree view” of the field to the South Carolina theatre.

Lisa Fredrickson, Jen Reiter, and Tatiana Godfrey will be charged with clarifying the company’s mission and building new systems and protocols.
