Cheyenne Wyzzard-Jones, Victoria L. Awkward, and Annalise Guidry will participate in the 22-month residency that aims to support queer and trans artists of color.
Chris Lane, Emma Yarbrough, John Clarence Stewart, and Thulani Vereen will each develop a new work with the Atlanta company.
The San Francisco-based company will work with next-generation theatre leaders from its hometown as well as from Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.
The winners are advocates for women and nonbinary playwrights over the age of 40.
Haruna Lee, Shayan Lotfi, Deepa Purohit, Jordan Seavey, SM Shephard-Massat, Phillip Christian Smith, and Bryna Turner will begin their residencies this fall.
