Satya Chávez, Terry Guest Receive Inaugural Jeff Impact Fellowships

Mildred Lewis, DeLanna Studi, and Hope Villanueva will each receive $10,000 to support their acclaimed but under-produced work.
The award includes a cash prize and travel expenses to New York City for the ceremony, along with a series of special events.
Now in its 55th year, Chicago’s 2023 Equity Jeff Awards saw big wins for “The Who’s Tommy” and “The Dream King.”
Administered by L.A.’s Latino Theater Company, the 10-year program is designed to support, bolster, and encourage Latinx theatres nationwide.
She’ll get the honor, sponsored by the Miranda Family, for her play ‘On the Eastside,’ with following prizes going to Christin Eve Cato and José Luis Useche.
The annual award recognizes an individual working in the theatre field who is committed to increasing Latinx representation across disciplines and includes a $5,000 unrestricted prize.
The award is granted annually to a Minnesota artist and comes with a $100,000 prize.
Jacob, known as “the Godfather of Sound,” will receive the lifetime achievement award at the Henry Hewes Design Awards on Oct. 23.
This year’s recipients include design team dots, costume designer Brenda Abbandandolo, lighting designer Barbara Samuels, sound designer Tei Blow, media designer Kameron Neal, and puppetry designer James Ortiz.
