Mosaic Theater Sets 2018-19 Season of Political Work

The D.C. theatre will program 8 plays, including a play about guns by Aaron Davidman, and works by George Brant and Nambi E. Kelley.

The theatre will present four productions at different venues throughout Washington, D.C.

Four teachers from across the country were nominated by their students for the award.

The season will feature five world premieres, new musicals, and a series of theatre for the very young.

The organization has awarded the Florida drama program with the Spirit of Thespis Award.

Musicals comprise ‘The Music Man’ and ‘Sweeney Todd,’ plays ‘Sweat,’ ‘The Cake,’ and ‘Doll’s House Part 2.’

At Arena Stage, Mary Kathryn Nagle’s ‘Sovereignty’ set out to reclaim Native stories—and bodies.

The Atlanta theatre’s season will include the world premiere of the musical ‘Men With Money.’

The season will include classics like ‘South Pacific’ and newer works like ‘Tiger Style!’ by Mike Lew

Goyanes will take the reins from Howard Shalwitz in September.
