TYA/USA Announces 2018 National Awards

The season will include a remount of ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch,’ and a modernized Hedda Gabler by Lucy Kirkwood.

The Houston theatre’s season will also include a production of Beth Henley’s ‘Crimes of the Heart’ directed by playwright Theresa Rebeck.
The season will include works by Christina Ham, Lelund Durond Thompson and Jason Michael Webb, Dominique Morisseau, and Eugene Lee.
The slate includes work by Steven Levenson, Joshua Harmon, Molly Smith Meltzer, Hilary Bettis, Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm, and Sarah Burgess.
The lineup features five world premieres and a collaboration with Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte.
The D.C. theatre will program 8 plays, including a play about guns by Aaron Davidman, and works by George Brant and Nambi E. Kelley.
The theatre will present four productions at different venues throughout Washington, D.C.
