KANSAS CITY, MO.: Unicorn Theatre has reappointed Jason Kralicek managing director. He held the position from 2008 to 2018, and most recently served as the theatre’s director of finance while concurrently working as a realtor for Reece Nichols.
“I am thrilled by Jason’s promotion to managing director,” said board president Sally Everhart in a statement. “His strong leadership, dedication, and countless accomplishments over the past 15 years with Unicorn Theatre point to continued future success in this role. Having previously served as managing director and with a long tenure at Unicorn, Jason is exceptionally qualified to co-lead the theatre alongside the new artistic director we expect to hire in the spring.”

He and his husband Seth Golay opened the snow cone shop Tropical Sno Kansas City and operated three locations in the area for a decade before their sale in 2022. Since joining Unicorn Theatre, he has led various initiatives, notably coordinating the successful “Buy the Building” capital campaign, which secured the theatre’s current home.
