American Theatre is proud to be the venue for Theatrical Mustang, an independently produced podcast from actor-writer-activist Woodzick. Each month they’ll bring listeners interviews with unbridled talent and cultural trailblazers from across the country.
S Franco (they/them, el/ella/elle) is a text-driven actor and director based in Seattle. They received acclaim for their performance in Wolf Play at ACT – A Contemporary Theatre, and their directing credits include Our Dear Dead Drug Lord at Washington Ensemble Theatre, Drum & Colours: Henry IV and Romeo y Julieta at Seattle Shakespeare Company, and Alma at ArtsWest. They’ve also worked repeatedly with upstart crow collective.
They are currently developing a solo show titled Bestia, inspired by the nickname “Beast” they were given as a child, in which Franco explores intersections of their American, Peruvian, Sephardic, and gender-fluid identities through dance, standup comedy, Internal Family Systems, flirtations with shame, and a lot of body hair.
