Brian James Polak usually interviews playwrights for this podcast. But he’s done something different this time (as he did last time). Due to the pandemic shutdown, countless theatre productions were forced to close or never open, among them dozens of world premieres and first productions. So Brian asked playwrights with these stillborn productions to offer snippets. Herewith are scenes and monologues from 15 separate plays whose first runs were cut short. Several are performed by the actors who were originating the roles, recording from isolation all over the country, and presenting their work here for posterity.
