- Ricardo Gutierrez has been named the new artistic director of Chicago’s Teatro Vista. Presently, he is Teatro Vista’s co-artistic director with Edward Torres, who will step down from the position in March.
- Nebraska’s Omaha Community Playhouse’s artistic director Carl Beck and associate artistic director Susan Baer Collins have announced their retirement at the end of the 2013–14 season.
- Bernard Gersten has stepped down as executive producer of Lincoln Center Theater, a position he held for 28 years, since LCT’s inception. There will be no successor to Gersten; LCT will continue under artistic director André Bishop.
- Oregon Shakespeare Festival has named Cynthia Rider as its new executive director, succeeding Paul Nicholson, who will retire in December after 33 years at the theatre. Rider was previously the managing director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre in Missouri.
- Kate Garassino is the new executive director of Bailiwick Chicago. She is a founding collective member of the theatre. Garassino replaces Brian LaDuca, who has moved to Ohio to be the director of ArtStreet at the University of Dayton.
- Marion Friedman Young has left the Civilians of New York City to become the executive director of Art-Reach in Philadelphia. Director of development Sarah Benvenuti is serving as interim managing director while the company looks for a permanent replacement.
- Elizabeth Kegley has begun her tenure as managing director of Kitchen Dog Theater in Dallas. She is a recent graduate of Southern Methodist University’s arts management program.
- Anita Gaffney has been named the new executive director of Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Canada. Currently the administrative director, Gaffney will assume her new post in November
- At Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, Henry Wishcamper has joined the institution’s Artistic Collective as an artistic associate.
