Heading into the holidays, a few of our regular favorite podcasts have taken a break (or, like our own OffScript podcast, only come out biweekly). So apologies in advance for a very New York-centric, though hardly NY-exclusive, series of chats.

It was a year in which gender parity in the theatre—or rather, the lack thereof—was a hot topic. So it’s only fitting that Bernardo Cubria’s New York-based podcast Off and On should round out the year with a chat with playwrights Gina Scanlon and Karen Rousso, whose 365 Women A Year is a daily calendar of awesome women throughout history. Scanlon and Rousso address such important questions as whether or not you can tell if a play is written by a woman, and who should be allowed to play what roles.
