WASHINGTON, D.C.: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has named Jeffrey Finn as vice president of theatre producing and programming, a new role created to support the center’s mission. Finn will collaborate closely with Robert van Leer, senior vice president for artistic programming, to develop and implement a vision for the center’s theatrical programming. He will begin in the role Oct. 7.
“To have someone of Jeffrey’s caliber, a four-time Tony Award nominee and active contributor to the artistic canon coming out of Broadway and beyond, leading our efforts to enhance theatre programming at the Center is extremely exciting,” said president Deborah F. Rutter in a statement.
Finn is the founder of Jeffrey Finn Productions, a production company that develops and produces live theatrical entertainment. He has produced 14 Broadway shows and more than 25 national tours and regional productions. Finn is the recipient of the Robert Whitehead Award for Outstanding Achievement in commercial theatre producing. He serves as the president and founder of Hot On Broadway, a corporate entertainment agency which produces customized musical entertainment across the globe for several Fortune 500 companies.
“I am incredibly honored to be joining the Kennedy Center, one of the most prestigious arts institutions in the nation,” said Finn in a statement. “Under the direction of Deborah Rutter, this is a thrilling moment of change and inspired growth for the organization.”
