American Theatre is proud to be the venue for Theatrical Mustang, an independently produced podcast from actor-writer-activist Woodzick. Each episode features interviews with unbridled talent and cultural trailblazers from across the country.
This month, Woodzick talks with actor and artist River Hetzel, who recently starred in a production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at Aurora Fox Arts Center in Aurora, Colorado. They’ve also worked a lot at Phamaly Theatre, including in such roles as Larry A Chorus Line, Melitta in Spring Awakening, and Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dreram. In addition to their work as a performer, Hetzel is an accomplished children’s book illustrator, installation artist, and painter. Their role as Medium Alison in Vintage Theatre‘s Fun Home last year allowed them to bring their performing and artistic talents into one show.
