ST. PAUL, MINN.: Six Points Theater has named Art Allen managing director, a new position in the company. In this role, he will oversee operations, marketing, audience development, and strategic plans for the theatre.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Art as our very first managing director at Six Points Theater,” said producing artistic director Barbara Brooks in a statement. “Long-range strategic planning over the last few years made clear the importance of adding this position to our staff in order for us to continue to thrive. I’m more confident than ever that Six Points Theater is poised to continue to grow as we advance our mission and move forward into our fourth decade.”
Art Allen is a writer, event producer (Minnesota Beard-Off, Buzzedwords, Pundamonium), and award-winning former escape room owner (Riddle Room). He won the 2017 Golden Lock-In Award for his escape room Utopia. He has an extensive background in nonprofit communications. His pun contest, Pundamonium, was featured in the Wall Street Journal. He has been a copywriter, contract strategist, and marketing director. A native of Plymouth, Minn., he has a BA in political science from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley.

Six Points Theater has established itself as a powerful voice for understanding, and I believe working to spotlight Jewish stories will help us through this time in history.”
Now in its 30th year, Six Points Theater was founded in 1994 by Barbara Brooks to engage people of all backgrounds in work rooted in Jewish content, that explores differences, illuminates commonalities and fosters greater understanding among all people. As of 2024, they have an approximate budget of $460,000.
