PASADENA, CALIF.: A Noise Within (ANW) has named Douglas Love-Ramos their new managing director. Love-Ramos will assume his role on Aug. 1.
“We are thrilled to have Douglas join us as our next managing director,” co-artistic directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott said in a statement. “His background and skill set jumped out at us from the very beginning. At every turn, we became more convinced that he would be the perfect partner for us, and we are confident that Douglas will play a critical role in the theatre’s bright future.”
Love-Ramos recently served as the managing director of Orlando Shakespeare Theater. He has also served as the CEO and producing director at Walden Playhouse, a divison of the film studio Walden Media, and as producing director of FamilyStage San Francisco at the Orpheum Theater. He created and produced the arts education program Rock Odyssey for the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, and is known for his stage adaptation of the children’s entertainment project Free To Be You And Me, which was published by the Rodgers & Hammerstein Theatre Library. Love-Ramos has executive produced multiple children’s television series for Disney and HBO and has published multiple children’s books. With World Book Encyclopedia, Love-Ramos created the Dramatic Learning collection, which is used by millions of classrooms worldwide.

A Noise Within is a leading regional theatre in Southern Californai whose award-winning resident company is committed to representing the community. The theatre runs robust education programs and produces world-class performances of classic theatre to inspire diverse audiences. As of 2021, the theatre had a budget of approximately $2.7 million.
