Terry Teachout.

Three on the Aisle: One More for Terry

Peter Marks and Elisabeth Vincentelli gather one more time to remember their recently departed co-host, Terry Teachout.

This popular critical colloquy officially ended its four-year run with a farewell episode last month. Little did its hosts know that one of their ranks would say goodbye for the last time a month later: Wall Street Journal drama critic Terry Teachout died on Jan. 13 at the age of 65; his co-host Peter Marks, theatre critic of the Washington Post, wrote a moving memorial tribute to Teachout yesterday, and now Marks is joined by the other member of the triumvirate, New York Times and New Yorker critic Elisabeth Vincentelli, for an unplanned “extra” episode of Three on the Aisle in which they recall what they learned from and loved about their late colleague, and share responses to Terry’s death they’ve received from listeners and readers.

Three on the Aisle is produced by Erica Huang (she/her).
