MINNEAPOLIS: Pillsbury House + Theatre (PH+T) has announced that, after two decades of leadership, co-artistic producing director Faye M. Price will be leaving her role, effective June 30, to pursue personal artistic projects.
“It has been an absolute joy to lead this institution, to produce beautiful theatre and give space to the arts that transform lives and community,” said Price in a statement. “The restrictions necessitated by COVID have provided a perfect time to reset. It has been a time to reflect on my values, and also to bring in new leadership energy at PH+T. I have every confidence that the work and values that have made Pillsbury House + Theatre such a unique and important institution will continue.”
Price joined the company in 2000, joining co-artistic managing director Noël Raymond in co-leading the theatre. When the theatre merged with Pillsbury House to form Pillsbury House + Theatre, the two leaders became the co-directors of the center, transforming the space into an arts-led community center dedicated to inspiring long-lasting change toward a just society. According to a release from the theatre, a succession plan is in place for her position, with Raymond staying on in her role.
“It has been my true joy and honor to work in partnership with Faye these past 20 years,” said Raymond in a statement. “So much of who I am as a leaders and a theatre artist has come from my association with her—I am so grateful! And though I am very sad that I will not see her every day, I am excited for her and excited about the artistic work she will have space to make. Faye has had a tremendous impact on the Pillsbury House + Theatre staff, artists, and community. Her presence will always be felt and revered here.”
