NEW YORK CITY: The Lark has announced that Stacy Waring, director of operations and former general manager for the play-development company, will assume the role of executive director. Waring will work as a leadership partner to artistic director John Clinton Eisner.
“While the present moment calls for a bit of distancing,” said Eisner in a statement, “it also offers us the opportunity to find new was to connect and support one another. Stacy’s appointment frees me to focus squarely on the needs of our artists, audience members, and stakeholders as we traverse these unprecedented times. I am grateful to Stacy for embracing this new role with vigor.”
Waring had a 20-year career as a production stage manager prior to joining the Lark as general manager in 2015. She was moved into the position of director of operations in 2017, where she oversaw the fiscal operations of the organization. Previously, Waring worked as director of theatre operations for the Apollo Theater in Harlem.
