Ben Platt Wins for Performance at 2017 Drama League Awards

Special awards also went to Bette Midler, Bill Berloni, and Michael Greif.

NEW YORK CITY: The Drama League has announced the winners of the 2017 Drama League Awards, which honors Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre. The winners, all Broadway productions this year, were announced at the 83rd Annual Awards Ceremony in New York City on May 19. Dear Evan Hansen and Hello, Dolly!  were the top winners.

In addition to the competitive categories, Bette Midler received the Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theater Award. The Unique Contribution to the Theater Award was given to Bill Berloni, and Michael Greif was honored with the Founders Award for Excellence in Directing.
