PASADENA, CALIF.: Pasadena Playhouse has announced that Danny Feldman will be the theatre’s new executive/artistic director. He will replace artistic director Sheldon Epps, who will retire at the end of the year and will become the company’s artistic director emeritus. Feldman and Epps will work closely during this transitional period.
“We are very excited to have Danny join us,” board chairman David DiCristofaro said in a statement. “He brings a strong commitment to artistic excellent, with an impressive producing background coupled with extensive theatre management experience. Danny embodies the mission and values of our Playhouse—artists at the center of the theatre, and a commitment to the community which we serve.”
Feldman is currently the executive director of Labyrinth Theater Company in New York City. Prior to that, he was the managing director of Reprise Theater Company in Los Angeles. The executive/artistic director title at Pasadena Playhouse was created to encompass Feldman’s artistic and management responsibilities.
