SANTA BARBARA, CALIF.: Ensemble Theatre Company (ETC) has named Jill Seltzer as its managing director, a new position at the organization. She will work in partnership with executive artistic director Jonathan Fox.
“We have worked a long time to fill this critical position, essential for ETC’s expanded scope of operations, and are excited that Jill will be working with our wonderful team to help us take ETC to the next level,” said board president Paula Bruce in a statement.
Seltzer has worked as a nonprofit management consultant for 20 years. Most recently, she served as executive director of Screen Actors Guild Foundation, where she spearheaded the development of the Actors Center in New York City, and managed the design, construction, and staffing of a new office. She also served as the vice president of institutional advancement for WBEZ Chicago Public Radio, and led a $15 million capital campaign. Prior to that, she was aprogram officer for the Weingart Foundation in Los Angeles, executive director of the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation, associate director of the Prince Charitable Trusts, and director of Auditorium Theatre. She also founded Consultants 36, an organization which supports nonprofits with resources for management, operations, strategic planning, and facilitation.
“I’m looking forward to working with Jill as we continue to build the company,” said Fox in a statement. “Having Jill on board will allow us to develop new artistic direction and programs.”
