NEW YORK CITY: The changing of the seasons has brought about two staff changes at the Working Theater. B.J. Evans starts work this week as the company’s new managing director, while Nicholas Betito, the theatre’s general manager, has left his job to pursue other interests.
Evans brings years of experience from managing and producing at theatres Off Broadway, in Texas and in Virginia.
“B.J.’s Southern charm and can-do attitude have already proved invigorating and infectious,” said artistic director Mark Plesent in a statement. “I look forward to people meeting her soon at an upcoming event or performance.”
The Working Theater is currently in the pre-production stages for its upcoming season, “Five Boroughs, One City.” The season will feature five different shows, one in each of Manhattan’s boroughs. The season begins April 2015.
